Palladium's roots go back to World War II as the largest aircraft tire supplier in Europe. When the demand for aircraft tires decreased, Palladium used its canvas and rubber resources to open its first footwear factory in Pont-de-Chéruy, France. The hardwearing boots that were born were so comfortable and durable that they were adopted by the legendary French Foreign Legion. In 1990 Palladium's boots were discovered by the grunge and rave scenes, with the iconic Pampa boot becoming fashionable on a global scale. Palladium re-launched in 2009 for the urban explorer with an updated manufacturing process that uses modern fabrics and materials.
