EMU Australia is a premium Australian footwear brand based in South Geelon, Australia, where sheepskin boots were invented.
EMU Australia began its journey as Jackson's Tannery in 1948. By 1994, EMU was born from the surfing hero Andrew Raggett after acquiring full ownership of Jacksons.
EMU rebranded in 2014 to 'EMU Australia' and launched a new logo and slogan to better reflect its brand values. The current logo represents an EMU's footprint using a contemporary style emblem, whilst associating its smooth shape with the intricate weave of Merino Wool. Since its rebrand, EMU Australia focuses heavily on producing aesthetic feminine silhouettes using contemporary colours and natural textures. Discontinuing its range for men to just slippers (of-which can only be purchased in Australia), EMU Australia has become a female exclusive brand first and foremost.
Using natural materials, EMU Australia thrive from providing guaranteed delivery of quality and comfort. Each style is crafted by experienced artisans, and uses an array of premium leathers from matte patent and silk metallic to vintage leathers. Many, if not all of EMU's footwear is created upon a sturdy sole unit and luxurious sheepskin or merino wool lining. 100% Sheepskin is a thick, lavish and waterproof material used for both its functional and comfortable properties. Merino wool is incredibly soft, temperate and naturally plush. Using these premium materials sourced from its native country, it is easy to understand why EMU Australia is known for being an extravagant and divine footwear brand.
