OOFOS is a revolutionary footwear brand designed to provide superior comfort and shock absorption for hard-working feet. It was founded with the vision to improve recovery and reduce strain during and after physical activities.
After two and a half years of research, the founders of OOFOS—Lou Panaccione, Paul Brown, Juan Diaz, and Steve Liggett—developed the groundbreaking OOfoam technology. This proprietary material absorbs 37% more impact than traditional foam footwear and is complemented by a patented footbed that cradles arches and reduces ankle exertion by up to 47%.
OOFOS began as a passion project for the founders, who initially worked as footwear consultants under Whitewater Enterprises (WWE). After realizing the potential of their new foam, they launched OOFOS in 2010, selling their first pair in 2011. This marked the birth of the original recovery footwear brand.
OOFOS caters not just to athletes but to anyone spending long hours on their feet or dealing with foot pain conditions like plantar fasciitis. The unique blend of cushion and stability makes OOFOS footwear ideal for recovery and everyday use.
OOFOS also prioritizes giving back. Through their Project Pink initiative, the brand donates 2% of every purchase to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, honoring their late friend Duncan and supporting cancer research.
