Manufactured by the Tecnica Group, a company renowned for producing work boots. Moon Boots began its ascent as a practical and stylish ski-resort product. Generally only known by ski-groups, following the apollo II moon landing, moon boots became recognised worldwide as a retrofuturistic fashion product in the 2000s
The design was inspired by the shape and tech of the astronaughts antigravity boots that were worn by astronaughts like Neil Armstrong during the moon landing mission.
Today, Moon Boots is considered by many to be an icon of the 20th century and continues to maintain its popularity. To date over 25 million pairs have sold and with new colours and style variations being launched all the time, Moon Boots will remain a key innovation that celebrates one of the worlds greatest triumphs.
