Step Further, Faster.

Merrell has been designing technical hiking shoes for nearly 40 years. They’ve been around the block a few times. In fact, in that time, their shoes have walked a few times around the world. At least with Merrell you can guarantee it was a smooth ride. Comfort, grip and durability, these are the cornerstones of the Merrell design process and have been since Randy Merrell quit making cowboy boots and started making men’s and women’s walking boots. Bad news for ranchers, great news for outdoor enthusiasts. His original leather boots, with the iconic blue laces, won hearts and minds the world over. Backpacker Magazine called them, “the most comfortable and functional boots in North America.” A bold claim, but Randy wasn’t fazed. He just kept on making shoes that he would want to wear. Today, Merrell is less famous for their custom leather boots and more well known for their lightweight, technical hiking shoes. Cross-trainer models, designed for speed and comfort but with all important grip. The Moab 2 is a great example of this. Sporty, rugged and with out-of-the-box comfort. Not just for the dry American Mid-West however. Merrell also makes men’s and women’s waterproof boots. Just as at home on the PCT as they are in the Lake District. No matter where these boots take you though, and they will take you far, at least you know you’re going to enjoy it.
